From Ruthven to Passchendaele From Ruthven to Passchendaele
in honour of the 100th Anniversary of WWI
October 12-22
Springworks Indie Theatre & Arts Festival
Stratford, ON
Springworks

Told on a multi-functional set, with 13 hand-made table-top rod puppets, From Ruthven to Passchendaele is the compelling story of one family's sacrifice in “the Great War”, a sacrifice made by so many Canadians in the CEF, the Canadian Expeditionary Force. See their journey, from the green meadows of Ontario, to the muck and mire of Passchendaele, to the antiseptic solace of the hospitals in England. This show is ideal for ages 12+, particularly middle-school children who will study WWI in Grade 8. It is also very appealing to history buffs and seniors.
